A few months ago, I was struggling with the menopause weight gain, low energy, and all the things... I remember saying a prayer and asking God to help me find a way out of the fog I was in. I saw a post of a good friend of mine. I knew she loved Jesus! She had started coaching women in the menopause stage of life. Teaching them the steps to lose the fat, gain muscle, and just feel good again. I reached out to her, and I'm so thankful I did! I joined her one on one coaching because I wanted to have that everyday accountability and accessibility. Over the past six weeks, I've lost a total of 13 pounds and 3 inches off my waistline! I've learned a new way of eating and a routine of walking and 3 days of weights with her workout videos. I didn't even have to go to the gym! I just ate what she recommended and did the workouts. I'm so thankful for Angel.. she has a beautiful heart and great compassion about helping you right where you are. It's never too late to try something new! I started with Angel’s Group Coaching on January 4. I am 54 and came to a weight where I just hated to see that number on the scale. I wanted to get back to a weight I was more comfortable with before menopause. I thought if Angel had done it, then maybe I could too! And so I started, tepidly. Logging everything seemed really overwhelming. I work full time and have elderly parents who need extra help, so at first my mind told me those were valid excuses and maybe this was just going to be too hard. But I stuck with it and Angel kept encouraging all the time. It’s impossible to not be inspired by her! After a while the logging got easier and I was able to concentrate on getting in more protein. I did what I could and loved seeing from the group how others were getting in their protein and also saw what Angel was eating. She’ll eat anything! I’m a little more picky with my food, but I was able to find high-protein foods I like and I passed on some others. I started fasting and with Angel’s help, started learning more how this had health as well as spiritual benefits. I have worked my way up to 24 hours and tried one 40-hour fast too. I actually found that I enjoy fasting and I can do it… something I really never thought I could do. I’m learning and experimenting with carb cycling now and metabolic switching. I have been able to lose just over 10 pounds and 5 inches in 11 weeks. My husband has also joined me and has been able to lose 25 pounds in the same amount of time. I’ve kept up with my own exercise routine and have been lifting heavier and getting stronger. This is the first time I have really stuck with a program and seen results. I have 5 pounds to my goal now. I could not have done it without the support of the group and Angel! I’m looking forward to hitting my goal and seeing all the women in the group do so too and then move onto a maintenance phase and just an overall new way of eating for health!

I have struggled with my weight since age 14 (eighth grade). I suffered trauma at the hands of a man and because of that I put on weight as a defense mechanism. The extra weight just served to make me more of a target. … Sparing you all those details, I had lots of information – carb cycling, exercise, weight training, macros, intermittent fasting – but didn’t know how to incorporate it all. I met Angel 3 or 4 years ago at a Juice Plus party hosted by a mutual friend. I was drawn to her because of her passion, but more so the health issue we had both overcome, a meningioma which is a brain tumor originating from the meninges (membrane layer surrounding the brain and spinal cord). I followed Angel on Facebook from then on and admired her fitness journey. I then watched her video about her plan to start a weight loss and fitness program for menopausal women. She had my attention! Fast forward a couple of months....I joined the group. I have learned how to incorporate all the pieces of information I had gathered over the years into a workable routine. In just over a month I have lost 6.6 lbs, lost an inch off my waist, and about an inch off my hips, and my thighs (my major problem areas – definitely a fat-bottom girl 😂). I heard many years ago that to maintain weight loss you will have to continue, not as intensely, the same methods you used to lose the weight. Unlike everything else I have tried, this is sustainable! 🙌 You don’t have to spend hours in the gym to get results. I am doing purposeful weight training 3 times a week and walking every day. I feel and look stronger and have a confidence I have lacked for a long time. I have learned to eat to fuel my body, not eat for entertainment. 👏 The best part is that my husband has joined me on this journey and our 17 year old daughter is now asking which foods/snacks would be healthier for her. 🥰
